Introduction
In The Name of Allah the Beneficent the
Merciful.
Allah the Almighty Said : ( Surely this Qur'an
guides to that which is most upright and gives good news to the believers who do
good that they shall have a great reward )
Allah the Almighty said the truth , Surely it is
the book which guides people to the straightest path and to the best behavior
in the life , and tells the believers good news about the a happy future as they
keep doing the right things . It is rather good news about the hereafter and it
is a medication to the disease of hearts . If they go back to the Book , they
will find solutions for all their problems in this word. Then we support those
who did their best to make the Book easy to understand especially for the new
generation , and to raise them in the glowing light of Qur'an torches ,
especially we mention Sayed Muhammad Ali Al-Husseini Al-Biqa’i Al-Lubnani ,
which makes great efforts for the sake of education of the new generations by
wise religious culture in the light of instructions of the holy Qur'an. So we
ask Allah to keep his success up and to make his efforts worthy of thanks.
Surely He is the granting of success.

Introduction
All praise is due to Allah the Lord of the
worlds , and peace and blessing on the master of the messengers , and the
intercessor of believers , who has been sent as a mercy for the worlds ,
Muhammad Bin Abdullah (p.b) and his pure, good natured, infallible family. And
the lasting curse on the whole of their enemies till the Day of judgment.
The Holy Qur'an is the speech of Allah, which
descended from heaven on the honest Prophet (P.b)to support his prophecy , it
is a memory, a medication and a light for people. It is also the main source of
legislation for Muslims.
So the Holy Qur'an is a comprehensive ,
universal, and scientific book for everybody, everywhere and every time . The
Holy Qur'an is the guide for the straightest path.
The Holy Qur'an has been revealed by the Lord of
the worlds, to show people the rules of the religion , creeds, nobility of
characters and so on. It has an explanation for everything.
Allah commands us to read Qur'an , He says :
( there fore read as much of it as is easy )
The Almighty Allah also commands us to
understand the meaning of its verses and to recite them:
( Do they not then meditate on the Qur'an? and
if it were from any other than Allah they would have found in it many a
discrepancy )
(Or add to it , and recite the Qur'an as it
ought to be recited )
The Prophet of Allah (P.b)also commands us to
recite , learn , carry Qur'an and hold fast to it , as it was stated in the
true and recurrent Hadith:
( I left among you the most two important things
: The Book of Allah and my progeny , (Ahlu bayti ) the family of mine , if you
hold fast to them you will never get lost )
But unfortunately , today we see people have
deserted Qur'an as the Holy verse says :
( And the Apostle cried out : O my lord ! surely
my people have treated this Qur'an as a forsaken thing )
The Holy Qur'an now is complaining as Imam Sadeq
(p.b) says :
( Three things complain to Allah the Almighty :
A wrecked mosque that nobody prays in , a scholar among ignorant people , and
a Mos’haf that has been left on shelf, covered with dust , nobody reads into it.
)
So that , we thought it was necessary to work
hard to write a book which directs people toward Qur'an’s names , qualities ,and
shows the significance of reciting Qur'an and the reward of studying,
memorizing, holding and also understanding the meaning of the words of Qur'an.
The book which is called Ma’rifatul Kitabul
Mubin (Knowledge Of The Clear Book ) is the first book in Selselat Ma’ariful
Muslim (series of Muslim’s Knowledge ) , we hope that we do succeed through
this blessed series to explain the Islamic knowledge or some of them for example
: Qur'an , Fiqh , creeds , ethics , and biography, and put it in an easy way to
fit people’s conditions in the present time.
This book is the beginning of the series and it
consists of three chapters:
Chapter one :
Definition of Qur'an , explaining its names ,
qualities , and benefits .
Chapter two:
The merit and the reward of reciting ,
memorizing , learning the Qur'an , the morals of reciting Qur'an , Ahlul bayt (
the family of Prophet ) and the Qur'an.
Chapter three:
It contains significant information and terms of
the Qur'an.
We ask our God by our Lady Fatimah and her
father and her husband and her sons and depositary sacrament in her, not to make
us of those who deserted the Holy Qur'an, at the same time, we hope that , this
will be a useful book for every Muslim , and to be a supply for us and for our
brothers, amen! the God of the worlds.
Finally, I cannot but thank his eminence ,
Sheikh Muhammad Hadi Marifah who looked at the book and supplied me with very
important notes , God reward him by merit.
We ask Allah , to help us adhere to the Holy
Qur'an and Muhammad and his auspicious family.

What is Qur'an?
Definition of Qur'an:
The literal meaning of Qur'an is synonymous to
reading , as the Almighty Allah says : ( Therefore when We have recited it ,
follow its recitation )
Qur'an:
Is the miraculous speech and Allah’s Book - which is revealed, by Angel Gabriel
- on the Prophet of God (p.b), it is written in al Mus’haf , and reached us from
different ways – therefore it is safe from distortion – and reciting the Qur'an
is a worship.

The Universality of the Holy Qur'an :
The glorious Qur'an - as well as the Islamic
religion and Muhammad’s prophecy (P.b)- is a universal book , its subjects
don’t specialize in a certain nation such as Arab nation for example , as the
glorious verse shows :
( O mankind !there has come to you indeed an
admonition from your Lord and a healing for what is in the breasts , - and for
those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy )
The Holy Qur'an also doesn’t specialize in a
certain sect as its verses certify :
( But it is nothing less than a Message to all
the worlds )
( Say : What thing is the weightiest in
testimony ?Say : Allah is the witness between you and me ; and this Qur'an has
been revealed to me that with it I may warn you whomsoever it reaches.)
So that , the Holy Qur'an is for the whole
people .
The Comprehensiveness of The Qur'an :
In the same time we see that , the Qur'an is a
perfect , comprehensive book, It contains the superior goal which man aimed to,
and it has all things that people need in their integrated progress toward the
happiness , as the Holy Qur'an described itself :
( They said : O our people ! We have listened to
a book revealed after Mousa verifying what came before it guides (men) to the
Truth and to a straight path)
(And we have revealed the Book to you explaining
clearly everything , and a guidance )
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (P.b) :
( He who needs the knowledge of the earliest and
the latest nations , he has to recite the Holy Qur'an)
Reported from Imam Sadeq (P.b):
( It (the Qur'an) has the news of your nation
as well as the news of the earliest and the latest nations , and the news of the
sky and the earth )
Furthermore the Qur'an contains all things that
people care in general , such as :
1.
The basics of the
Islamic belief like Towhid (monotheism) , Nibowah (prophecy) , Ma’ad ( the day
of judgment ) , Imamate ( the leadership) and Wilayah (guardianship) and other
belief’s matters such as fate and so on .
2.
The educational side and
everything that is related to , such as nobility of characters and souls
purification.
3.
A group of rules and
legal judgments that organize the behaviors and the relationships between the
Muslim individuals and Muslim community . And that what is meant by
“comprehensiveness of Qur'an”
The Immortality of the Qur'an :
Finally , it is time to talk about the
immortality of Qur'an. The Holy Qur'an is perfect , inclusive and lasting for
every time and everywhere. It is unlimited, it is alive and immortal forever
and everywhere. As a matter of fact the attitudes that the Holy Qur'an has
faced and the problems that the Qur'an has solved , were not concerning a
certain time as some people believe . The glorious Qur'an contains permanent
and continuous solutions for the renewed problems such as the compression
between pre-Islam and recent state of ignorance, Harith Al A Awar has said in
this meaning :
“ Once when I entered al- Masjed , I saw people
were chitchatting , I told Imam Ali (p.b) about what I have seen , He said :
“Did they really do it ? !” I already have heard the Prophet of Allah (P.b)
say : “There will be sedition” . So I said : “ Oh prophet of Allah (P.b), what
should we do then?” The Prophet of Allah (P.b) said : “The Book of Allah ! It
has the news of the earliest and the latest nations , and it has the judgment
of your problems, and its judgments are decisive ”
Once Imam Al – Sadeq was asked : “Why the
freshness of Qur'an is increased with reading ?” He said : “Because Allah the
Almighty didn’t make it for a certain time nor a certain people.”
In a speech of Imam Ali (P.b) :
( There will be a time when nothing remains
from Qur'an but its figure)
So , vilifying this time means that the Holy
Qur'an has been descended to be the source of guidance for all times.
One more evidence on the immortality of Qur'an
is what has came from Ahlul bayt (p.b) that emphasizes on exposing Hadiths
(traditions) on the Qur'an , and whatever tradition disagrees with the Book of
Allah is considered null. And in case of disagreement between two Hadiths ,
people should take the one that agrees with Glorious Book. This confirms the
continuance reference and the guidance of the Qur'an for the consecutive
generations.
Theme Two :
The Names and the Qualities of the Qur'an
The Names of the Qur'an :
Allah the Almighty has chosen certain names for
His miraculous speech and His Holy Book which he inspired to His own Prophet
(p.b) , to distinguish Islam and to find identification marks between Islamic
culture and other cultures.
These names are:
1. Al Qur'an:
(And this Qur'an is not such as could be
produced by other than God on the contrary it is a confirmation of the (
revelation) that went before it , and a fuller explanation of the Book – where
in there is no doubt – from the Lord of the worlds.)
The word “Qur'an” is the infinitive of reading,
it refers to the memorizing Qur’n in the hearts because of the plentiful
reading.
2. Al Kitab:
(This Book, there is no doubt in it , is a
guide to the God fearing)
3. Al Furqan:
(He has revealed to you the Book with the truth
,verifying that which is before it , and He revealed the Taurat and the Injeel.
Aforetime, a guidance for people , and He sent the Furqan. )
( Blessed is He Who sent down the Furqan upon
His servant that he may be a warner to the nations )
Since it is the divine truth’s balance , the
Qur'an, is also called ,Al- Furqan, because it distinguishes between true and
false.
4. Al-Thikr :
(And this is a blessed Reminder which We have
revealed , will you then deny it ?)
Al Thikr means the honor as the Almighty God
says :
( And most surly it is a Reminder for you and
your people , and you shall soon be questioned.)
Qualities of Qur'an :
The Glorious Qur'an has many qualities that are
found in some blessing verses ,through which we realize the grandeur of this
Book and the abundance of its effects and blessing. Also came in the traditions
that are narrated about Ahlul Bayt (P.b)
1. (This is a clear statement for men , and a
guidance and an admonition to those who guard( against evil) )
2. (Surly we have revealed the Book to you with
the Truth that you may judge between people by means which Allah has taught you
;and be not an advocate on behalf of the treacherous .)
3. ( O people surly there has come to you
manifest proof from your Lord and we have sent to you clear light . Then as for
those who believe in Allah and hold fast by Him , He will cause them to enter
into His mercy and grace and guide them to Himself on a right path .)
4. ( O men , there has come to you indeed an
admonition from your Lord , and a healing for what is in the breasts and
guidance and a mercy for the believers )
5. ( Allah has revealed the best announcement, a
Book conformable in its various parts, repeating where at do shudder the skins
of those who fear the their Lord , then their skins and their hearts become
pliant to the remembrance of Allah ; This is Allah’s Guidance , He guides with
it whom He pleases ; and ( as for ) him whom Allah makes err , there is no
guide for him.)
6. ( Surly those who disbelieve in the reminder
when it comes to them , and most surly it is a mighty Book .Falsehood shall not
come from before it nor from behind it ; a Revelation from the wise , the
Praised one .)
7. (These are clear proofs and for men , and a
guidance and a mercy for a people who are sure)
8. ( Qaf . I swear by the glorious Qur'an ( that
Muhammad is Apostle of Allah .)
9. ( Most surly it is an honored Qur'an , In a
book that is protected , None shall touch it save the purified ones .)
10. ( And whoever turns away from my reminder ,
his shall surly be a straitened life , and we raise him on the Day of
Resurrection , blind .)
So ,these were some verses that described the
Holy Qur'an.
Reported from Amiru‘l Mu’minin (P.b) in the
description and explanation of the position of Qur'an, his saying :
“Then He revealed the Book on Him – Muhammad
(P.b)–,it is a lamp that never turn off , it is a candle that never goes out ,
it is a sea with inaccessible bottom ,it is a clear road that never gets you
lost , it is a light that never gets dark . It is the mineral and the affluence
of faith , it is the source and the seas of science , it is the justice’s
meadows and brooks . Allah has made it as quenching for the scholars’ thirst,
and a spring for the hearts of Fukaha (scholars ), it is a lighthouse on the
road of the good people , it is a healing which is never followed by disease ,
it is a light which is never combined by darkness , it is a rope with a firm
loop ”
Reported by Imam Ali (p.b) :
( The best speech is Qur'an, it pleases souls ,
and lightens the inner selves)
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (p.b) :
( The Book of Allah is the truthfulness speech
, the most useful sermon , and the best tales )
And the truth is that , man is unable to
describe Qur'an and its virtue.
We conclude by the tradition of the Prophet of
Allah (p.b):
( The merit of Qur'an on the other speech as the
merit of Allah on his creatures)
Chapter Three:
The Benefits of Qur'an
Qur'an is the evidence of the prophecy :
Qur'an has many significant benefits, so we are
going to refer to some of them throughout this chapter , one of them is that ,
Qur'an is an evidence on the prophecy of Muhammad (p.b) .Mind usually asks
those who claim prophecy to bring unusual and continual evidence, a miracle that
is (others should be unable to bring a similar thing ) in order to block the
road before the fake claimers, and not to mix the truthful with liars. Also , in
order to put responsibility on the shoulders of the mankind.
( That he who would perish might perish by clear
proof , and he who would live might live by clear proof )
For example , the stick was the miracle of
Moses prophecy (P.b) , which turns into a snake when he drops it , another
miracle was his hand , he puts it in his pocket then it comes out white without
evil. Allah the Almighty has mentioned that in His Glorious Book when He said
:
( He said this is my staff, I recline on it and
I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep , and I have other
uses for it .He said : Cast it down , O Musa ! So he cast it down ; and lo !it
was a serpent running )
)
And press your hand to your side , it shall come out white without evil :
another sign )
And also the miracle of Jesus prophecy (p.b) was
healing sick people and resurrection dead people by God’s willing, as the Holy
Qur'an has reported:
( And He will teach him the Book and the wisdom
and the Taurat and the Injeel. And (make him) an apostle to the children of
Israel : That I have come to you with a sign from your Lord , that I determine
for you out of dust like the form of a bird , then I breath into it and it
becomes a bird with Allah’s permission and I heal the blind and the leprous ,
and bring the dead to life with Allah’s permission and I inform you of what you
should eat and what you should store in your houses ; most surely there is a
sign in this for you , if your are believers. )
Here we come to the miracle of our Prophet
Muhammad (p.b) , there was a clear text reported from the Prophet Isa (Jesus)
(p.b) in the Qur'an :
( And when Isa son of Marium said : O children
of Israel ! surely I am the apostle of Allah to you , verifying that which is
before me of the Taurat giving the Good news of an apostle who will come after
me his name being Ahmed ; But when he came to them with clear arguments they
said ; This is a clear magic .)
The miracle of the seal (last) of the prophets
is the glorious miraculous Qur'an , that Arabs eloquent have failed to bring a
similar Sura – (chapter) – and they sure never do ; It is noticeable that each
miracle comes to meet the interest of people in that time, for example the
miracle of the Prophet Mousa (p.b) came when the magic was the widespread art at
that time , and also the miracle of the prophet Isa (Jesus) (p.b) came when the
medicine was dominating the community, as for the period of the Prophet Muhammad
(p.b) there were the eloquence , poetry , and literature, and those who have
these kinds of arts were respected and they had the priority in the community.
And there was a high standing for the eloquent speech, so that poetry has been
attached to the walls of Kaba - Allah consolidate it – like what we call the
seven Mualakat (special poems ), then the Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (p.b)
has come by the prophecy, carrying Qur'an (the glorious speech of Allah) to
prove his Prophecy. Qur'an has challenged the Arab’s eloquent , humans and jinn
if they could bring even one similar surah , but nobody could do so , that means
it was a miracle , nobody could bring something similar .
Allah the Almighty said :
( Or do they say: He has forged it . Nay ! They
do not believe. Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are
truthful.)
He also said :
( Say : If men and Jinn should combine together
to bring the like of this Qur'an , they could not bring the like of it , though
some of them were aiders of others . )
And He said :
( And if you are in doubt as to that which We
have revealed to Our servant , then produce a chapter like it and call on your
witnesses beside Allah if you are truthful . )
And as a kind of challenge , to prove them that
Qur'an doesn’t have any kind of contradiction Allah the Almighty said :
( Do they not then meditate on the Qur'an ? And
if it were from any other than Allah they would have found in it many a
discrepancy. )
Then , the glorious Qur'an – by these challenges
has already proved that, it is the speech of Allah – declares through out many
of its verses that Muahmmad is the messenger and the prophet of Allah, and thus
Qur'an became an evidence on the prophecy, and this is one of the essential
benefits of Qur'an.
Qur'an is the main source of legislation:
Islamic as a law (Sharia) , definitely needs a
source for its rules, the legislator is Allah the Almighty ,and the Holy Qur'an
is the main and the first source of legislation , so when Muslims want to know
the rules of Allah they return to the Glorious Qur'an.
The rules in Qur'an are two types :
a.
Rules that are necessary
for constructing the religion which include the rules of worships and beliefs.
b.
Rules that are necessary
for organizing government and community , such as the rules of: dealings ,
personal properties , and other partial matters.
Despite of the multitude and the variety of
Qur'an’s rules , they all have been descended for pleasing people in both
lives ( the life in this world and the hereafter.)
And if you examine the verses of rules ,you will
find that each rule has two types of penalties : worldly penalty and hereafter
penalty, for example the matters of killing, robbery, adultery, usury, eating
the orphan’s property and so on.
In general , we conclude from what have been
said earlier , that the glorious Qur'an is the main constitution for Muslims ,
from which they take the legitimate rules and the correct Islamic beliefs, and
it has an explanation for everything.
Medication and Healing :
One more benefit of the Glorious Qur'an is that
, it has a cure for both soul and body , as the Almighty God said :
( O men ! there has come to you an admonition
from your Lord and a healing for what in the breast and a guidance and a mercy
for the believers )
(This is a clear statement for men , and a
guidance and an admonition to those who guard ( against evil ) )
The Holy Qur'an is a cure for souls and bodies ,
it is a preacher and curative for hearts from the bad characters that bring
unhappiness to the mankind , disturb his happy life , and deprive him from the
welfare in both lives, in this world and the hereafter. So , Qur'an is a guide
for the straight way and it is the spring of mercy by the God willing. It is the
connected rope between Allah and His creatures.
Reported from Imam Ali (P.b) :
( Qur'an has cure from the great diseases;
unbelief, hypocrisy , error , and the aberration )
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (P.b): (
Qur'an is the medicine )
Look how pious treat themselves by Qur'an as
Amirul mu’minin (p.b) has describe them in the sermon of Al Mutakein
(God-fearing) :
( They spend night standing , reading parts of
Qur'an in slow recitation , grieving themselves , agitating the treatment of
their disease , when they came over a verse that arouses the excitement, they
rely on it with greediness, and have their souls look forward it with an
eagerness , as well as it is standing in front of their eyes, but when they come
over a frightening verse they have their hearts listen carefully as they feel
the roar of the hellfire deep in their ears. )
Qur'an also has special verses for healing and
abolition from magic . There are lots of traditions that refer to that meaning.
Reported from Imam Sadeq (p.b) his saying:
(There is no wonder if a dead person comes back
alive ,after reciting al Fatiha on him seventy times ! )
Some chapters like ( Mu’awithetayn) are used as
a charm to protect people from evils of humans and jinn.
I’m going to mention some of verses that talk
about medication , and who wants more information he can return to “ Mefatih Al
Jinan” .
He who wants to reform his society on a base of
peace , happiness , and security, he should return to Qur'an .
There still some benefits of the Glorious Qur'an
that we didn’t mention, such as ; keeping the Holy Qur'an at home will send the
Devils away .
Reported from Imam Sadeq (p.b) said :
( I like Mus’haf to be at home so that Allah
sends the devils away. )
Reciting Qur'an at home attracts angels and
increases livelihood.
Reported from Imam Sadeq (P.b) His saying :
( Amirul Mu’minin Ali (P.b) said : (
Angles attend the home where Qur'an is recited and Allah is mentioned ,and such
home will be free of devils, and full of blessing , it will light the
residents of the sky , as well as planets light the residents of Earth )
The Glorious Qur'an has one more benefit
, It is considered as a reference for the Arabic language and the eloquence.
We satisfy by this number of the benefits
of the Glorious Qur'an which are indeed more than to be counted in a book or
books.

The merit and the reward of Qur'an
We assigned this chapter for the
traditions which show the merit and the importance of learning , carrying, and
memorizing Qur'an ; in order to know how much reward has been stored for those
who open, read, memorize, teach , and carry the Qur'an.
1.
Urging on reciting Qur'an :
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (p.b):
( He who likes to talk to his Lord , he
should recite the Qur'an)
Also reported from the Holy Prophet
(p.b) :
( Hearts rust as well as iron rusts ,
They said: O, Prophet of Allah , what makes them shine again ? He said :
Reciting of Qur'an)
And reported from the Holy Prophet (p.b)
:
( Keep on reading Qur'an , since it is a
penance of sins , a shelter from the hellfire , and protection from the torture
.)
Reported from Imam Sadeq (P.b) :
( The Holy Qur'an is the promise of Allah
to His creatures, so that each Muslim has to look at his promise and read fifty
verses of Qur'an a day.)
The reward of reciting Qur'an :
Reported from Abi Abdullah al Sadeq (P.b)
:
(I wander what prevents a merchant who
spends lots of time on his business from reciting one Surah ( chapter) of the
Holy Qur'an - when he comes back home and before he goes to bed - to be
written for him ten Hasanah (merit) instead of each verse , and to be erased
ten sins from him)
Reported from the Holy Prophet (P.b) :
Keep on reciting Qur'an since the number
of the stairs toward the Paradise are the same number of the verses of Qur'an ,
and when it is the day of judgment , those who recited Qur'an will be called :
“Recite and go up” and whenever he reads a verse , he goes up one stair.)
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (P.b):
(Those who recites Qur'an are higher than other
humans except prophets and messengers of God , so don’t deem weak those who
recite Qur'an because they have a standing near the Almighty Allah. )
3. Reciting Qur'an on Mus’haf :
It is desirable ( mustahab) to read on Mus’haf
and look into it , as it is reported from Imam Sadeq (p.b) : ( The one who reads
Qur'an into Mus’haf he will be enjoyed with his eyes , and the torture will be
decreased on his parents even they are unbelievers. )
And also reported from the Holy Prophet (P.b) :
( Reading Qur'an into Mus’haf decreases torture
on parents.)
And also reported from the Holy Prophet (P.b) :
(It is better to read and look into Mus’haf .
Don’t you know that , looking into Mus’haf is a worship.)
4. The advantage of learning the Qur'an :
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (P.b):
( The best of you are those who learned Qur'an
and taught it )
And also reported the Holy Prophet (P.b): (
Keep learning the Qur'an and reciting it a lot)
Reported from Imam Sadeq (p.b) :
( Believing man ought to not die until he learns
or tries to learn the Qur'an)
5.Youths and Kids should learn the Qur'an:
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (P.b):
( Teach your kids three habits: to love your
Prophet (p.b), to love of his family ( ahlul bayt ) , and to read Qur'an )
And reported from Imam Sadeq (P.b) :
( He who reads Qur'an and he is a faithful young
, Qur'an is going to be mixed with his flesh and blood, then Allah will make
him one of the noble minded , pious mediators ( safarrah) , and he will be
protected by Qur'an in the day of judgment )
6. The Reward of Memorizing the Qur'an :
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (p.b) :
( He, who is given the memorizing the Book of
Allah , and he thought that there was someone is given something better than
what he was given , then he denies the best blessing at all.)
Reported from Imam Al Sadeq (p.b) :
He , who memorizes Qur'an and works according to
its directions , he will be with the pious and the noble minded )
No doubt , the ability of memorizing differs
from a person to another, and those who work hard to memorize Qur'an , they will
gain two rewards for two reasons: the difficulty of memorizing and the
memorizing itself, as the following tradition shows :
Reported from Imam Al- Sadeq (p.b):
( He, who could memorize the Qur'an with great
effort , he gains two rewards. And he who could memorizing the Qur'an easily ,
he will be with the firsts)
7. Reward and Merit of Qur'an bearer :
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (p.b) :
Those who bear the Qur'an , they are the
protected by Allah’s mercy , and the overwhelmed by the light of Allah the
Almighty )
The Holy Prophet (p.b) said :
(The noblest of my nation are those, who bear
the Qur'an and do the prayer at night )
Also reported from the Holy Prophet (p.b):
(The bearer of the Qur'an is the bearer of
Islam’s flag )
8. The Effect of Qur'an in Houses :
Qur'an causes mercy and benefit for the
residents of houses.
Reported from Imam Al- Sadeq (p.b)
( I like to see Mus’haf in the house by which
the Almighty God sends Satan away.)
9. Preference of Reciting Qur'an in houses:
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (P.b):
( Light your homes by reciting Qur'an)
Reported from Imam Amirul mu’minin Ali (p.b):
Blessing will fill the house where Qur'an is
recited and Allah the Almighty is mentiond , and such place will be attended by
angels and deserted by Shaitans , and such house will light the inhabitants of
the sky as well as planets light the inhabitants of Earth .But blessing
decrease in the house where Qur'an is not recited , and Allah the Almighty is
not mentioned , and it will be full of shaitans and empty of angels.)
We have explained throughout this blessing
research, a bunch of the Prophet’s traditions , tradition of Ahlul bayt (P.b)
,and reports that came from them which talk about memorizing , reciting ,and
bearing Qur'an . But we postponed talking about morals of reciting for the next
theme if God Will .
Theme Two :
The Morals of Recitation Qur'an:
Be aware that, there are special morals for
recitation Qur'an that should be respected : external and internal .
1. The external morals :
We mention some of them as the following :
a- Ablution , it is mustahab (preferred) to
those who only want to recite the Qur'an. It is reported from Imam Kadum (p.b) :
( He who recites Qur'an in his prayer when he
is standing he gains one merit for each letter that he recited , and fifty
merits when he is sitting. And if he performed his ablution but didn’t do his
pray , he gains twenty five merits , and ten merits if he didn’t perform his
ablution)
But ,the ablution is wajib (obligation ) if he
wants to touch the letters or the words of Qur'an ; God, Great and Almighty
says :
(None shall touch it save the purified ones.)
b- Reciting Qur'an should be in good manner and
tranquility, the reader should be either standing or sitting and his face
toward Kiblah, bowing his head and not resting on something.
c. The reader should start his reciting by
saying : ( A’ uth billah assami’ul al alim mina ashaytan urrajim ) which
means I seek refuge with the All- Hearing , the
Omniscient
God from the accursed Shaitan . And that what the Almighty God has commanded
people to say when they read Qur'an:
(So when you recite the Qur'an , seek refuge
with Allah from the accursed Shaitan )
Reported from Imam Al-Sadeq (p.b) :
( I asked the Holy Prophet (p.b.h) if I should
seek refuge from the Shaytan every time I read a new Surah. He (p.b.h) said : “
Yes, you should say, I seek the refuge from the accursed Shaitan” )
d. To say at the end of each Surah: (He said the
truth , the Most high , the Almighty Allah , and His Holy Prophet has declared
the mission , O our Lord let us get benefit by Qur'an , and bless us by Qur'an ,
and all praise due to Allah , the Lord of the Worlds.)
e. Reciting Qur'an . It should be as the
Almighty Allah said:
( Or add to it , and recite the Qur'an as it
ought to be recited )
The holy Qur'an should be recited as it deserves
to be recited , and that means to stop when paradise and hell are mentioned ,
to ask in the first one and to seek the refuge in the second one, and if you
pass on a prostration verse , you should prostrate . And when you pass on a
glorification verse , you should glorify and say ( God is Great ) , And when you
pass on a prayer verse or forgiveness verse , you should pray and ask
forgiveness. )
f. Brushing teeth :
Reported from the Prophet of Allah (P.b):
( Clean the way of Qur'an, they said : O,
Prophet of God , What is the way of Qur'an ? He said : Your mouths. they said :
How can we do that ? He said : by brushing your teeth. )
g. Reciting Qur'an with grief :
